Interfaith newsletter for (Cologne), Bonn and surrounding area 131 - 3 Addendum
(08.12.2008)
love readers,
Reinhard Kirste just congratulated the INTR ° A-newsletter for today's Muslims Sacrifice and the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhi to the present day. Which I agree with you. Such congratulations on religious festivals come in my newsletters usually too short, which is because I do not really pay attention to the festival calendar.
Explanation: On the Sacrifice Muslims commemorate the sacrifice that God was offering Ibrahim, namely a sheep instead of his son. Therefore, on this day many Muslims sacrifice sheep and distribute a portion of the meat in the community.
commemorate On Bodhi Day Buddhist awakening of Siddhartha. Many Buddhists - Theravadans, but also Tibetan Buddhists - celebrate it in May, many Mahayana Buddhists, but in December. It is celebrated differently, often meditated by extensively (I have before, now once again visit "my" Zen group, which has nothing to do with the date, but fits quite well) and discourses heard.
And now I have two dates.

Gender in Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Prof. Dr. Christina von Braun, Berlin
We are used to keep the sex of a biological, immutable fact. A comparison between the gender systems of the three religions of the book, however, shows how closely gender, sexuality and culture are intertwined. Hence the high emotions that raises this issue in the encounter of religions. The presentation will compare the symbolic gender order in Judaism, Christianity and Islam and show that these differences also affect the order of knowledge and the relationship to the image. - Cooperation: The Federation New Germany, Region Bonn, Bonn Catholic Student Group, University of Bonn, studying universal; Series: Science Forum Bonn.

Cardinal Tetra Scales Peeling Off
Students eat only fast food and pizza, is a common prejudice. Many young people resort to deliberately vegetables, fruit and salad. In the residence Eisenstadt find these "healthy" students in large numbers even tells Carolyn that she has motivation for it.
S Pinat, vegetables and salad is sure to be the lunch tables of the students but a rarity. However you cook confident and healthy. Why?
Caro: the beginning of the studies I have deliberately cooked rare, but at some point but has enforced the need for vegetables. Since then, I cook as healthy as possible and ready meals come only on days on the table, where time is short.
you cook so well. How often do you cook yourself a week or how much time do you spend cooking?
Caro: Actually, I try to cook healthy every day - and this takes depending on what I cook from 30 minutes to an hour. Depending on how motivated I am. On weekends it can even sometimes take longer.
eats like your environment? Do you have the impression that as the cliché of Auftaupizza and fast food student food obsolete?
Caro: The concepts Auftaupizza and fast food I can think of two of my good friends in the dorm one which feed almost exclusively from it. And I think it is not the only ones who fit this stereotype.
foods are also in Austria recently become very expensive. Can we afford as a student fresh and healthy food at all?
Caro: If you shop conscious, it's not expensive to eat healthy. In the end, it is safe even cheaper if you know what you want and what you need. There is in any case cheaper than a few times Week to buy ready meals and eat.
Have you ever been so fed or did it develop with your life in the dorm?
Caro: I have also deliberately eaten at home, even if, or perhaps precisely because there has brought my grandmother mostly old German food on the table. Because this was particularly the GDR times of healthy eating - in the country you used everything you could grow themselves. To my great regret there was often meat - I'm not a big fan of meat - so I cut out almost always on it.
What s your favorite dish?
Caro: I have many, but with fried egg and potatoes, I like very much. In general - all you can do with potatoes, I find it very tasty.

Really Good Potato Gun For Sale
Modrany is a part of the 12th District Prague. It lies at the south end of Prague, on the right bank of the river Vltava. Modrany was first mentioned at the beginnig of 11th century. It was a village by the year 1963 when it became a town for a short time. In 1968 it has become a part of Prague. Modrany has about 32 000 citizens so it is almost three times bigger than Eisenstadt that has population about 12 000. These two towns are at the first sight incomparable, so it seems like a nonsense to comapare them, but…
The first remarkable similarity between Modrany and Eisenstadt is that its visitors say: „It’s the end of the world, nothing happens there!!!“ (They usually use even stronger words to explain their feelings.) But we who live here know that it’s not true at all;-) Of course if you are a lover of night life and want to spend every night in a different club or pub you have to commute to Prague center/Wien. But there are many possibilities for the others.
The first thing you see when arriving to Eisenstadt are vineyards surrouding the whole town. Nothing surprising. Conditions for growing wine are ideal here. But would you expect a vineyard in the middle of Prague’s suburb? Not many people do so. In Modrany this idea comes true. You can meet there a vineyard from the 12th century, which is one of the 4 last vineyards in Prague.
Also education is important for both towns. Eisenstadt has its FH Burgenland while Modrany has its Police Academy. You could have met students of Informationsberufe in the streets of Eisenstadt during the World Book Day. They were organising a parade and a flea market to celebrate this special day. In Modrany’s streets you can meet police students. A fine from the policeman-beginner for crossing the street outside the zebra crossing will make your day also special.
We could find out more similarities between these two towns but there is also one big difference. Panorama of Eisenstadt is made of many family houses, one strange panel house and Esterházy castle. Panorama of Modrany is made of few family houses, many panel houses (which don’t look strange anymore) and any castle. One of the Modrany’s dominants used to be a sugar factory from the 19th century. The factory was closed in 2002. Everybody knew that it was worth technical and historical building and that it should have been preserved. But the train that's councilmen knew much better than the others that the parcel has been a lucrative place for new panel houses ... Could this happen in Eisenstadt?
Why are there days on which must have opened the business in Eisenstadt up by 22 clock? Because without these measures, people flee from Eisenstadt and not just in the shopping area. Even moderate recreation Eisenstadt is not much.
looking Residents of Eisenstadt their recovery in Neufeld, rock or Brunn am Neusiedler See. For shopping, they travel to Wiener Neustadt, Shopping City or Vienna. Eisenstadt offers its residents and tourists to little. At 6 clock the sidewalks folded up and you get nothing. From personal experience I know that for young people not have a wide range of Fortgehmöglichkeiten are within Eisenstadt. The decision is usually not difficult, either Mendez and James Dean, neither of which are gorgeous. So we have to look outside of Eisenstadt our pleasure.
Wants eat together with friends in the city of ice cream or drink a coffee after work, this is not possible, since the premises close simultaneously with the working world at 7 its doors.
For families with children, the options still look less enticing. Park Spa Iron City in the park is open only during summer months and since only 20 clock. So here also no way for working parents to switch off after work with their children. No wonder that one avoids the nearby seaside resorts, which have longer opening hours.
Eisenstadt must definitely change something about their image, because our country's capital was on the radio, in addition to selected St. Pölten, the most boring capital of Austria.

you think of the Burgenland, then you think necessarily in the Neusiedler See. The Neusiedler See in many ways plays an important role in our region. Most meaningful of course he's for tourism.
The lake and its surroundings with its unique ecosystem, a paradise for nature lovers. Around the lake, plants and animal species found in Alpine, Pannonian, Asian and Mediterranean climate zones. The varied wildlife, with over 40 mammal species and 300 bird species, attracts mainly birdwatchers always like to. A highlight for many visitors to the National Park Neusiedler See - Seewinkel dar.
However, not only for nature lovers has to offer Europe's third largest lake and largest step a lot. With its numerous, well-developed beach resorts, the lake is a popular destination for beach-lovers from home and abroad. The Neusiedler See is not in vain as the "Sea of the Viennese" means. Due to the ideal wind conditions that prevail in Burgenland, he is also high for surfers from around the world in the course.
place every year in Podersdorf the so-called "Surfopening" instead. The multi-day event with sport tournaments of the world's best surfing to Extreme sports performances, audience games, parties and concerts, not just the athletes get their money.
The culture is not neglected at the Neusiedler See. Like every year, will also take place again this year in the summer months, the summer festival in Mörbisch. What about the offer from the indoor pool?
Andreas: The pool has a lot to offer, for example, there is a 25-meter pool, a medium-sized pool and a baby pool for children. However, sauna, steam bath and solarium can be used. In addition, the indoor pool, a restaurant in which there are drinks and snacks such as French bread and toast.
How satisfied are you with the prices?
Andreas: The prize money is good and the prices are not overpriced. On entering there for students and student discounts.
How would you describe the atmosphere in the pool?
Andreas: I'm usually in the evening there and the time is pretty quiet. The ideal place to relax in the water and swim a few laps in peace.
Is there also something that bothers you?
Andreas: Yes, it has often happened that the swimming club has come in the pool and then leave the remaining visitors the large pool and had to resort to the smaller. This is annoying, especially because one has indeed paid for it. Otherwise I am completely satisfied.

Kates Playground Collection 2010
All Europe looks the red, white and red football nation in Austria. Even in college courses Eisenstadt, there are football fans, can hardly wait for the this event. Commenting on the upcoming European teacher speaks Croatian Ivan R.
On 7 June marks the European Championship in football. On the second day of the tournament Austria takes on Croatia. How do you approach this?
is with great joy. I hope for an interesting, dramatic play, the other to a draw. So both teams would hope. Should not it end this way, then the losing team of the wind taken out of the sails and they are no longer euphoric. In addition, this game is for Austria as David against Goliath: There have been three meetings between Austria and Croatia, and all three ended a victory for the Croats.
Who will cross your fingers: Austria or Croatia?
My sympathy goes to the person who plays the best football that day. Secretly, I think, but the Croats.
The group shall also be Germany and Poland. How do you rate the chances of the Austrians and Croats?
Croatia is clearly against Austria in this group have the advantage. In the course of the tournament can boost a team, however.
How far the Croats are in the European Championship?
Hopefully over the last sixteen out.
How will you spend the game? At home, on various fan-mile or even in the stadium?
the stadium, but anything is possible. Probably at any public viewing event.
On June 3, the Croatian national team at the hotel in Bad Avita Tatzmannsdorf will move into their neighborhood. Will you be there?
Yes. I would like to experience the atmosphere and see how far one gets to the team. I also am curious how did Bad Tatzmannsdorf prepared for this reception and the team.
Do you have a favorite player in the Croatian national team?
a favorite player, I have not. In football, it does not depend on the individual but on the team. Football is a school for life: You learn discipline, control and team spirit.
Europe Who will win?
That is the question of questions. At the last European Championships no one would have bet on Greece. I believe that it will not happen without the big countries like Germany, France and Italy. Nevertheless, I hope, of course, that Croatia is in the final.

Cartier Trinity Pave Price
Kathy talks about her experiences as a home dweller, why you like it here so well and why she decided to give up the commute and move to Eisenstadt.
Interview by Marlene Kollmann.
MK: You were in the first two terms, a commuter since September 2007 and now you live in the home. How did you come to this decision?
KK: This decision has resulted in over time. In the first year of my studies, I am between swimming and Eisenstadt commuted - but the train! That was really stressful, because the connection is not optimal. Also, I always had to reckon with various delays from the ÖBB, I am sitting 2.5 to 4 hours per day on the train. That was me then in the long run simply too exhausting.
MK: How have your parents on your decision?
KK: The have noticed at the end of the second semester, how much I am suffering from the constant commuting and how exhausting for me was. Therefore, they supported my decision and let me go into the student's home.
MK: What has changed since you moved to Eisenstadt?
KK: So, I have gained much by living on campus in time and quality of life to it. Commuting and all the stress fall away, I can get up in the morning and walk across the yard and am in the same university. The means an enormous relief. I also enjoy the independence that results from the fact. I cook and wash themselves in some cases myself, I manage my own life. This is a good step in growing up. Of course it is also nice to do with my friends after school or something and spend time together.
MK: What do you like most on home life?
KK: I like the community together. I work voluntarily for our cafe in the home and therefore I have again learned to know nice people. I also think that the home is very well equipped: we have internet, cable television, fitness and party room and a sauna. Since you also always has his friends in the area, one can not be boring.
MK: If you take off from the home, you will be hard to say goodbye?
KK: I take off with a laughing and a crying eye. I am the one hand, the fact that I will then move into a flat together with my best friend in Vienna. But of course I will leave the home and the residents. One consolation is that I'm still a while in the university studies and, therefore, all these people in November will again.
MK: I thank you for the interview.

Ten days are here, day and night, delicious wines tasted, accompanied by typical Pannonian sounds.
