In Eisenstadt's Restaurant "duet" all the equipment is blue. Even the cook Chicco, actually Gerhard Hofstetter, wearing a blue chef's jacket. How it works with so much blue?
How do you like the equipment in the "Duet"? How is it working so in the blue?
Chicco: The walls are painted dark blue and white and has such a Mediterranean-like appearance. In addition, blue is my favorite color!
of work time you already in "Duet"?
Chicco: The "duet" I'm busy since November 2003.
How does that mean you work there?
Chicco: Ironside "Karol" is a friend of mine. I have already worked with him in different companies. When he decided to start their own business, he offered me here to work as a cook.
Did you always wanted to be chef?
Chicco: Well, yes (laughs). My parents had a restaurant and I was interested in cooking as a child.
What is so special in your restaurant?
Chicco: Our restaurant has a beautiful Mediterranean garden and an open kitchen. I have a lot of contact with the guests.
what kind of cuisine do you prefer?
Chicco: Our services range from Burgenland-Pannonian and Mediterranean but there are Asian influences.
Where did you work before?
Chicco : My career started in a Greek restaurant. Then I was in Vienna and came to know the typical Viennese cuisine. Then I returned to Eisenstadt and cooked in Eisenstadt in a South American restaurant and have learned so well the Mexican kitchen. Later I was in an upscale restaurant with French cuisine worked and now I'm just here in the "duet" landed.
Can you imagine working somewhere else than in Eisenstadt?
Chicco: Since I've worked in Eisenstadt have certain names and many people appreciate my cooking, I do not really get away from here.
What is so special in this city?
Chicco: Eisenstadt is actually a large village, where they know almost everybody. (Laughs) It's more personal
here than in a big city. In particular there is not such a big selection of good restaurants and so we are visited by our kitchen very well.
